Ipe Decking Tiles

Ipe decking tiles offer an alternative to traditional decking and can be installed either as a temporary or permanent surface.  Made with durable Ipe hardwood, the deck tiles are ideal for balconies, roof-top decks, patios, gardens or even as a landscape feature.  Tiles can be used over existing structures such as concrete slabs or wood decks.

Ipe is a dense, heavy South American hardwood that is resistant to rot, decay and termites.  If maintained properly, Ipe should last for decades.

If left unfinished, Ipe will eventually weather to a gray patina.  To keep a rich, new look, finish with a hardwood UV stain such as Messmer’s UV Plus finish.

Installation of Ipe decking tiles is easy using a simple connector.  Both the iConnect as well as the DeckWise Deck Tile Fastener work for these tiles.  The DeckWise fastener comes in black, brown and gray colors, and we recommend the black fastener for a low-profile appearance.  Tiles can be installed by a homeowner or professional installer.  Simply place each corner of the tile onto the corresponding peg of the connector.  It’s that easy!
