While you’re researching hardwood decking and porches, you may hear people talk about “Mahogany” decking.

Contractor Richard Weil of Add-A-Deck of Texas built this beautiful deck outside of Austin, TX,  featuring 5/4×6 Garapa laid on the diagonal and bordered with 5/4×6 Ipe for a contrasting effect.

This fabulous Ipe deck along the Jersey Shore is a double-threat:  it wraps around a pool AND has an ocean-side view!  Located in Toms River, New Jersey, this Ipe deck is natural with no stain or finish and was constructed with 5/4×6 Ipe decking.

This Jersey Shore walkway is like no other!  The client used Massaranduba decking (aka Brazilian Redwood) to carve a walking path around the property.  The wood was finished with a hardwood decking oil to finish off the rich dark look.

Here’s a recent customer photo submission.  This herring-boned pattern Ipe deck surrounds a pool located in Stamford, Connecticut, and was finished with Messmer’s UV Plus for Hardwood Decks.  The customer states, “Here are some pictures of the Ipe, after the UV oil……we are very happy..thanks for the help!”
